NEUTRAL CAPITAL COLLECTION II

Each Neutral Capital Collection is assembled over a distinct time into finite non-

interchangeable sets, containing a small history of creative enterprise. The impact of this

body of work may chronicle a moment specific to each artist’s individual practice or offer

insights into larger themes or approaches to a shared experience. By no means do my

collections attempt a compressive registry of today’s art world, rather they tell often

idiosyncratic stories of meetings, conversations, and comradery. Assuming the privilege of

acquisition from the cultural and financial elites, I attempt a critical intervention in a

market driven art world.

The second Neutral Capital Collection was compiled for exhibition at the Museum of

Contemporary Art in San Diego in 2007. Artworks were purchased with a printing of my

third denomination, Neutral Capital 202 (Visionaries).
